Good morning, friends and neighbors- Good Morning! We celebrated our “Veterans” the stories from so many legislators on the work their family members did for our country was very moving. Unfortunately, my colleagues on the left tell a good story, they refuse to provide real reform to assist our veterans in need. Once again I reminded our body, if you live on the eastern side of the state, beyond basic clinical care, a veteran must travel to Texas (Amarillo, Big Springs or El Paso) to get care. This is unacceptable and I will not stop until this and full funding occurs! Yesterday on the house floor we lightly debated two bills on the house floor yesterday. I have shared a synopsis below and added information on other bills that will impact our life here in New Mexico if chaptered into law. I pray a blessed day for all. |

What Randy is Tracking: SB 1, 2, and 3 – Creates a Behavior Health Trust and enacts appropriations. Unfortunately, each of these have bi-partisan support. Combined with the portion of criminal competency inside of HB4 these companion bills are a disaster. |

What Randy is Tracking: Another “Emerge NM” progressive bill. It creates the highest wage tax in New Mexico's history. |

What Randy is Tracking: This bill would raise the minimum wage to $17 per hour with automatic yearly increases and eliminate tipped wages. SB279 – Gas-operated Semi-Automatic Firearms Exclusion Act What Randy is Tracking: This bill would ban one of the most common guns used in New Mexico. SB 258 - Human Sexuality Education What Randy is Tracking: This bill would require that sex education, transgender ideology and abortion be taught in middle school instead of high school SB 21 The Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Act What Randy is Tracking: requires any entity discharging pollutants from a point source |
