In the News and Session Thoughts |
MLG Threatens to Call a Special Session |
What Randy is Tracking: Governor MLG informed members of the Albuquerque business community that she is “all but guaranteed to call a special session in October to deal with federal cuts”. My Thoughts: New Mexico, which relies heavily on federal subsidies such as Medicaid and is spending money like a “sailor on leave”, will have no choice but to evaluate our excessive spending habits of our Oil & Gas revenue. |
Almost 1,200 bills filed this session |
What Randy is Tracking: 1,182 bills have been filed with almost 20 focused on destroying or severely crippling the vary industry that funds this state and 22 specifically aimed at reducing our 2nd Amendment Rights. Essentially all other bills are affected indirectly by the industry that provides nearly a third of New Mexico’s annual — and once again record-breaking — operating budget. |
